If there’s one thing we Southerners know, it’s barns. And fences. And rust. Lots of rust. For the past several years, the subject of Historic Preservation has been near and dear to my heart. So last year when I was asked to donate a Live Event Painting during the 40th Anniversary of The Heritage Foundation […]
Thrilled that one of my paintings was chosen for the All-American Cottage, This Old House | Southern Living Showcase Home in Greenville, South Carolina, The painting chosen was a beautiful 30 x 40 of an old country church, entitled If Grace is True. There’s just something about the simplicity of this motif that draws us […]

This is the tale of two artsy mice. One mouse had a studio in the country where she painted the rural world around her, little churches, dirt roads, and windflowers in the soft, pale colors of clay and straw. Then, one day, another artsy mouse came to work in her studio. This mouse was different, […]
Love what you do and do what you love, and I’m telling you, you will be a happier person. My “down” time, which usually happens in January, didn’t happen this year. Since Christmas things have been just as busy as ever, but I am doing what I love to do so it doesn’t seem like […]

About The Artist
Hi! As an artist, I enjoy finding the beauty in the rustic, old, and I love anything with texture. Born in small town Alabama and inspired by all things Southern, I have an impasto style of painting that is very unique and one that I have developed over the past 10 years as a working artist. It is my hope that my paintings can be appreciated for the aesthetic qualities and rustic chic compositions, all while capturing the viewers imagination. You can catch me most days working in my studio located in The Factory at Franklin in historic Franklin, Tennessee. I received my BFA from Auburn University and also studied fine art abroad at the Chelsea School of Art and Design and Central St. Martins School of Art and Design in London, England. Be sure to follow me on facebook and twitter to stay connected! Thanks for stopping by!
