One morning outside her kitchen window, feeling a little sad and overwhelmed, a hummingbird appeared out of nowhere and hovered right in front of her. Its wings were barely visible. It stayed there.. close enough to stir the air, long enough to feel intentional. In that quiet pause, it felt like a message… a reminder that God draws near in the most unexpected ways.
Later, standing before a blank canvas, that encounter poured out in color and movement.
